Club Activities

As Lions we are also involved in promoting what we do best. Some of these activities give us the opportunity to inform others of Lions Clubs International and how we as a Club are active in our community.

Lions Day with the UN is held worldwide to celebrate the part Lions Clubs International plays within the UN and UNICEF. We join fellow Lions at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh during March each year.

Lions World Sight Day promotes our Lions Sight Projects to the general public.

Diabetes Awareness shows how we play our part in giving a service to help prevent individuals from blindness by perhaps discovering diabetic symptoms at their early stage.

Locally, we attend the annual Hobbies & Crafts Exhibition held in Dunfermline Glen. During this event our aim is to inform our local community what it means to be a Lion. We also hope to encourage some of the visitor to join our Club so we can  continue to give the service needed within West Fife.

While we give a lot of our time to community projects, we also find time to enjoy social activities.

We organise various events when Club members and our families meet to enjoy a social occasion:

Cruise on the Maid of the Forth

Visit to the theatre

Attending a family Race Event at Perth Races

Visit to several restaurants after social events

Very interesting talk on "Bats" followed by an evening in a local woods to see & hear "Bats" (if possible!)

A young student's presentation after a year's project in India which we provided financial support

Ten Pin Bowling events followed by a meal

Ceilidhs

Quiz Nights with other Lions Clubs and other Organisations
